Margaret Evans (1947-2014) was a photographer, both in the traditional darkroom with film and enlargers and in digital imaging setting. She also wrote magazine articles and poetry on occasion. At Shippensburg University of PA, in addition to photography, she taught courses in visual communication, diversity and the media, women and the media and interdisciplinary arts. Her personal work has appeared in a variety of publications and exhibitions, both internationally and around the United States. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards. She traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. Her work covers a wide range of subjects, including travel and wildlife photography, documentary subjects, and digital composite images of mythological themes.
